Rest Stop (Sunday)

My plan with this blog is to post my reflections along the milestones (mile markers) of the journey every couple days or so, but, to true to most journeys, there are moments when we need to pull over at the rest area.  Every so often I will post short observations I call “rest stops”.

Today, while I had the privilege to be out on the water I realized how infrequently I pull off at the rest areas of life, so to speak.  How infrequently do I stop and observe what is going on around me?

As you go outside, pull over a moment at the rest area.  Before proceeding, stop, take a moment to look up; take in a deep breath; take a moment to look down; another deep breath.  Refreshing?

Enjoy the journey today!

The next milestone on the journey:  “Can I drive?”  New reflection to be posted in a couple days.
