Rest Stop … Memorial Day

freedom, peace, remembrance, trust, hope
Freedom

On this Memorial Day let us remember all of those people, past and present, who have given us the greatest sacrifice; their life, so that we may have life and freedom.  This song by Chris Tomlin inspires me as the words, to me, are the words of those gone before us encouraging us in our daily lives.  I hope the song inspires you too.

Let us pray the words of the psalmist: (psalm 130)

1Out of the depths I have cried to You, O Lord.
2Lord, hear my voice!
Let Your ears be attentive
To the voice of my supplications.
3If You, Lord, should mark iniquities,
O Lord, who could stand?
4But there is forgiveness with You,
That You may be feared.
5I wait for the Lord, my soul does wait,
And in His word do I hope.
6My soul waits for the Lord
More than the watchmen for the morning;
Indeed, more than the watchmen for the morning.
7O Israel, hope in the Lord;
For with the Lord there is lovingkindness,
And with Him is abundant redemption.
