Rest Stop (Saturday) … Changing your attitude to enjoy your work

This is my office today.

I am scheduled to give a talk at an upcoming conference and I need to complete the research and create the slides. I looked outside this morning, and upon seeing the blue sky, cool air and light breeze, knowing I had work to get done, I felt frustrated and somewhat angry. Why did I have to miss out?

Then the thought occurred to me; work outside! Immediately my frustration was replaced with joy! Originally, upon seeing the nice day my motivation to do my work vanished. As I was setting up my outdoor office that earlier lack of  motivation changed. Now I want to work!

A change in my perspective led to a change of my emotions and motivation. Today, along your life’s journey, what can you do differently to improve your experience and attitude?
